On September 9, the world marks the International Day to Protect Education from Attack, a day established by UNESCO and the UN to raise awareness on safeguarding schools, students, and teachers from violence and conflict.
At AYCPD (African Youths for Change and Peace Development), we believe education is every child’s right and must remain safe, inclusive, and free from fear. We stand with global partners to protect schools, support learners affected by crises, and promote policies that guarantee quality education for all.
AYCPD champions safe learning environments where students are protected, respected, and empowered. Through awareness, education, and strong reporting systems, we work with schools, communities, and policymakers to prevent violence, cyberbullying, and harassment, ensuring every young person can learn, dream, and thrive without fear.
AYCPD visited CCSS Nkolbong on 28 November 2025 to educate students on campus violence and drug trafficking. The session empowered learners to make safer choices, speak up, and become ambassadors of peace on their campus.
